Clean Suzy’s Assay

PSEUDOEPHEDRINE HYDROCHLORIDE— hydrochloride (C10H15NO · HCl) dissolved by using the following
Test specimen—Grind the pseudoephedrine hydrochloride layer method.
of 1 Tablet, and transfer it into a capped 30-mL centrifuge tube. Buffer solution—Dissolve 14.0 g of monobasic sodium phosphate
Add 20 mL of 0.1 N hydrochloric acid, mix on a vortex mixer for 1
to 2 minutes, and centrifuge for 3 to 5 minutes at approximately
2500 rpm or greater. Decant the solution, and pass through a 0.45
mm nylon filter; discard the residue. Add 10 mL of 1 N sodium hy-
droxide, and pour it into a separatory funnel containing 15 mL of
methylene chloride. Carefully rotate and shake the funnel using care
not to form an emulsion. Allow the layers to separate for about 10 minutes.
Decant the methylene chloride (lower) layer into a 50-mL
beaker, and filter through a glass funnel loaded with a glass wool
plug and 1 to 2 g of sodium sulfate. Evaporate to dryness-
Do not exceed 75° if a hot plate is used to aid evaporation.
Standard specimen—Transfer a quantity, in mg, of USP
Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride RS equivalent to the labeled
amount of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride to a 30-mL capped cen-
trifuge tube, and proceed as directed for Test specimen, beginning with “Add 20 mL of 0.1 N hydrochloric acid”.

This thing, while not a PDF, had a suspicious light blue tinge when I went to select it, and it wound up intercalating the two columns line by line. they could not be put a page at a time on view.

This is an assay procedure for suzy, US Pharmacopeia, 34(2), pg 298 is the latest revision.

RS means "reference standard"

you can already see that you dissolve the product in water, but it is not just water. It is a buffer. the reason why is that a buffer is resistant to any sudden chemical changes due to acidity, so the assay results will be more accurate. Then you base it over with a molar solution of NaOH, or, if you want to say that "One molar", fine. Then you shake it up with DCM (dichloromethane, aka methylene chloride) and do your pull into the DCM and put it in a beaker to evaporate, which it will do as fast as acetone. But I gess you could start by dissolving it in weak acid (muriatic is hydrochloric, but the "muriatic", see, when the jury hears that, they are going to say, "I clean my pool with that." Just so you know that right or wrong you are going to be made to look like a mass murderer. Here, it is because it is less likely to get busted if you grab pool acid, yet, when you do get busted your product is going to show that you were giving your customers lead poisoning (and that ain't too cool). It is like riding a motorcycle: Although less likely to get in an accident, when you do they scrape you up off the street with a spatula, because there's nothing around you to protect you. It is all bullshit, but what you say in your defense is words, too. "Muriatic", if pronounced fastidiously, sounds like Joaquin Murrieta; if not, sounds like you said, "I'm erratic". "He said he's an addict." "Yes it is problematic." Whenever it is too difficult to use words against you, you walk away Scot free. Just tell them that they all spent their youth idly trailing a razor blade through lines of cocaine and stare them down. They did.

So, here we have once again a readily-accessed source, USP, by P2P (peer-to-peer, not phenyl-2-propanone), which I have listed B4, that shows how to assay how much suzy is in a pill, and that will give clean suzy (and also how much). The phrase is, "wash to a constant weight", for gold; that is, rinse, dry and weigh, rinse dry and weigh, and two successive weights must be equal within 0.1%. If it is still losing weight it is not clean.

Then of course go online to Rhodium on the Wayback Machine, looking for the unrefereed doper-written, and not part of the peer-reviewed (not P2Pat all) lit things where, yes, it is way back, but even way back internet is not way back DEA. anyway, DEA is not a source for how to defeat DEA. Another source is what to do about guafensin, which is the gunk itself. knowing the specific contaminant allows you to select procedures to mitigate against it while not suffering hardship unnecessarily to overcome things that aren't there, or challenges which a given contaminant do not present.

Note the absolutely correct spelling; I didn’t need it. They claim it has a function, so strictly gummy binders or something, I believe your Uncle Fester covers that.
